High West American Prairie ‘San Diego Barrel Boys’ Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey #20114

High West American Prairie ‘San Diego Barrel Boys’ Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey #20114 is a limited private-barrel release created from High West American Prairie Bourbon and selected exclusively for San Diego Barrel Boys. Unlike the standard American Prairie bottling, this expression comes from a single cask and was finished in a Grenache wine barrel, giving it a more distinctive and collectible profile with added fruit, oak, and cask character. It’s a one-off selection designed for whiskey drinkers who enjoy store picks, barrel finishes, and small-run releases that offer something different from the regular shelf bottle.

This bottling is listed as cask #20114 and comes in a 750ml bottle at roughly 49.1–49.3% ABV (98.2–98.6 proof) depending on how the retailer rounds it. The base whiskey is built on High West’s American Prairie Bourbon style—a blend of straight bourbons aged at least two years—while the Grenache finish adds a softer, fruitier layer to the bourbon’s caramel-and-vanilla backbone. Expect a profile centered on caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, red berry fruit, soft wine sweetness, and baking spice, with the finishing cask contributing extra depth and a richer mouthfeel compared with the standard American Prairie release.

As a San Diego Barrel Boys exclusive, barrel #20114 is not a permanent High West core release but a single-barrel selection bottled in limited quantity from one specific cask. That makes it especially appealing for collectors and fans of High West’s barrel select program, where the finishing cask can significantly change the flavor profile from barrel to barrel. If you want a version of American Prairie Bourbon with a more unique wine-cask influence and limited availability, this is one of the more distinctive private selections in the lineup.
